I found this in our study room today. It is always special when kids 'get it'.

The boy sat down on his grandpa's knee,
And said, 'Grandpapa won't you listen to me?'
The grandpa looked down and smiled,
'Ask anything at all my child.'
'Why is it that the sun always shines?
Why do birds come in so many kinds?
Why does the wolf always howl at the moon?
Why do the crickets sing their sweet tune?
Why do the seasons come and go as they please?
why do great cities always have keys?
why does the world pass by in time?
Grandpapa, will you always be mine?'
The grandpapa looked down and smiled.
'God made it that way, my precious child.'

The lemonade diet/fast

Day 2 - much easier than Day 1...
I'm getting used to not chewing, even if it is a little strange. My daughter doesn't like the 'hot' lemonade! Actually the cayenne pepper helps digestion and curbs the appetite (so I'm told),

It is amazing how much of our day revlolves around food! Whether we are hungry or not, we set our physical, social and mental clocks around eating.

Being on a fast for two days, and not chewing my arm off makes me realize we are tougher than we often give ourselves credit. Jesus & Moses both fasted for 40 days - I don't have their spiritual fortitude! I do meditate more on the Word of God. Spritual food tastes good especially when you're hungry!

Here's to Day 3!!!...

This should get very interesting...

Starting a 5-day fast (with liquids only) on Sunday through Friday morning. I'll try to keep the blog going, even if I cant see straight and concetrate!!

I guess the update of my site has been long ovedue. I have always fancied my self to be a bit of a scribe, even though I prefer storytelling to writing.

Please bear with me as this site slowly takes shape. The primary purpose is to be a place to scribble down stuff and find out what others have to say.
